Q: How do I reduce the scent throw of my Fifth Sense London reed diffuser if it's too powerful for a smaller room?

A: If your home fragrance diffuser becomes too overwhelming, you can simply remove some of the reeds, wrap them in foil or place them into a polythene bag then place them into a Tupperware tub for safe keeping. To pause a scent, simply remove the reeds entirely (following the steps above) and place the reusable lid that we provided with your home fragrance diffuser, back into the neck of the bottle and push down to seal.

Q: I’m Having trouble getting the lid out of the fragrance diffuser bottle, is there an easier way?

A: When your diffuser arrives to you, it has likely been stored and transported to you in different temperature conditions to your home, meaning that the lid may become tighter than usual. This is the result of natural materials shrinking and expanding due to temperature variations. Don’t worry, simply leave your diffuser for an hour before opening and try again.  Try again twisting the cap anti-clockwise, whilst pulling in an upward direction. Do this over the sink in case the fragrance oil spills.

Still having trouble?

Use the end of a small teaspoon to lift out the cork lid from the bottle neck.  Newer Fifth Sense London fragrance diffusers now come with a bottle opening tool within the boxes, as backup.

Q: How do I keep a consistent level of fragrance aroma in the room with the reed diffuser?

A: Every time the fragrance levels seem to fade somewhat, simply rotate the reeds so that the dry end is now submerged in fragrance oil and the end that was submerged, is now free to evaporate into the room.
